TOP TEN Fight Gear
Top Ten has been designing and producing high quality protective sparring equipment and fight gear for boxing and kickboxing since the early 1980's and they continue to be a leading brand on the world stage of martial arts and combat sports. Top Ten's gloves and safety equipment have been approved by several of the world's largest martial arts and sports organisations. To date more than 100 World and European Championship events in boxing, kickboxing and Tae Kwon-Do, as well as three Olympic Games (1992, 2000, 2010) have used Top Ten as their official supplier. Back in 1982 Georg F. Brückner, a German martial arts pioneer, was not satisfied with the quality of the protective equipment available at that time and so with the help of experts from various fields he produced the first range of gloves, foot protectors and head guards from the now world renowned rubber-like material called "BayFlex®" and went on to give it the Top Ten trade name. In 1983 it was presented for the first time internationally in London at the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) World Championships and continues to have its products approved by them for use in their competitions. Top Ten now enjoys the approval of WAKO, AIBA & ITF organisations. In 1986 Top Ten introduced their Superfight gloves and kicks which were covered with real leather and used the high absorbent "BayFill®" padding for the inner cushioning. Top Ten have not stood still in terms of development so after the original acclaimed Top Ten Competition Fight Head Guard they went on to develop their now best selling Avantgarde model. Top Ten are now producing a wide range of sparring equipment using their production formula which has proved so successful over the years and these now include their WAKO approved range of Pointfighter Gloves and Fight Kicks, including the recently released ultra-light Top Ten "Glossy Block" Gloves and the Top Ten "Superlight" Kicks.
